The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword Nintendo Switch
There has been a lot of rumors going around that The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword is going to be making it’s way on the Nintendo Switch. If we really look at the facts, Skyward Sword without a doubt will make its way on the Nintendo Switch. The Switch is a perfect fit, motion controls being the most important part.
Skyward Sword involved the use of motion controllers, the Wii remote was your sword hand and the NunChuck was your shield hand, the Nintendo Switch Joy Con controllers can also be used as motion controllers, allowing for Skyward Sword to be played on the Nintendo Switch. That alone is enough of a reason for Nintendo to release Skyward Sword on the Switch. Then you have the argument, how can you play that game on the go? Well, the game can be recoded to allow the player to decide if they want to use motion control or not, which should be easy enough, pushing up or down on the Joy stick while pushing the A button can allow you to slash vertically, left and right on the joy stick can allow you to slash horizontally and diagonal on the joy stick will allow you to slash diagonally. As for the shield, pushing Zl can raise your shield and ZL +L combined can thrust your shield, however, motion controls would be the easier option. Skyward Sword can still be brought out even if Nintendo chooses not to implement regular control options, it can simply just be a play at home game, there is no rule written in stone that states all Switch games must be playable on the go. Though that is a major selling point for the Nintendo Switch.
The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword was released back in 2011, at the end of the Wii’s life cycle, with the Wii U just around the corner being released in 2012, Skyward Sword did not get as much attention as it might have, if it were released earlier in the Wii’s Life cycle, more may have considered purchasing it. Many avoided the title, due to the motion controls, linear path and small map for exploring compared to previous Zelda games. Now would be the perfect time for Nintendo to port Skyward Sword over to the Switch, considering how well the system is selling, on top of the fact that the Switch has motion control capabilities, it is an opportunity for Nintendo to give Skyward Sword a second chance. Even with the negative aspects, Skyward Sword is still an excellent game, it is worth playing, it is supposed to be the game before all games, so if you want to understand the timeline of the Legend Of Zelda series, this game is the one to start with.
Let’s just hope that Skyward Sword for the Nintendo Switch is done right, Allow the option to not use motion controls, as some do not want motion controls, update the graphics, so the background is not as blurry, add a bit more content, as the game was sort of lacking land to adventure on, plus the path was very linear and please make the bird traveling faster! Traveling from region to region was so tedious, it felt too slow, the sky was empty and lifeless, at least add some enemies in the sky to fight while traveling, or perhaps allow us to travel to regions without the bird, for example, maybe we could obtain a device that allows us to teleport to the Sheikah Stones in each region from other regions and only enforce bird traveling to get to the islands in the sky, there are boost rocks in the air that allow you to fly faster, it is still rather annoying.
Do you think The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword is going to be released on the Nintendo Switch? What would you like to have changed in the game?
